Hiiii! I am Elena, Founder and a Principal Stylist at The Staging Expert. Prior to this exciting journey, I was Principal at Maison Interiors, a boutique design firm, for six years. I’ve spent time honing my skills, completing efficient floor plans, applying design principles, perfecting my styling techniques, which resulted in creating beautiful homes for my clients. I have loved seeing the results of my team’s hard work and happy faces of my clients who couldn’t believe that it was their own home.
During those years, my design work was shortlisted by the prestigious International Design and Architecture Awards in London, England and honoured by the Canadian Decorators’ Association with Awards for interior decorating. My projects have been featured in magazines and online media throughout Canada including Our Homes (Toronto), Home in Canada (Toronto), Kitchen and Bath Business online magazine, Houzz.
Last year when the pandemic hit the world, we all had a lot of time for reflection, re-assessment and re-evaluation of our lives. I wasn’t an exception. I realized that I needed a change in my life. I wanted something different, something new, something that could provide me with fast results but still give me room for creativity applying my skills and experience in the design industry.
On the other hand, I have always been a huge aficionado of real estate, condos in particular, and the lifestyle they offer. I just love that five-star hotel feel and the fact that everything is taken care of. Who doesn’t, right? So for the past ten years, I started following the trends, watching the Toronto condo market just for fun. It was my hobby which ultimately translated into successful condo investments.
One day last summer, it hit me!!! I realized that I could actually combine my passion and expertise for design and my hobby for real estate and - so The Staging Expert was born. YAY!
Today my specialty is to transform bland properties into modern, minimal and stylish homes that buyers can’t resist. As an experienced certified interior decorator, entrepreneur and real estate investor, I bring a unique set of skills to every single project I work on.
